After a steady, brisk ride along South Parks Road (Glenrothes), we eased off to coast round the left turn onto Golf Course Road. It was mild (8°C) and dry, but the corner felt like black ice as we both thudded to the deck as our back wheels flew out from underneath us. As it was dark we could only guess that it was a diesel spill.
